What a development this is! After the sad and early departure of Ron Gardenhire this season, the Detroit Tigers have made what could be a controversial hiring. Now we all know the GM and Manager were given the short-end of the stick when the MLB gave the players clemency and decided to throw them under the bus.
A.J. Hinch has a managerial record of 570-452, with a World Series title. Or as MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred says, just a “piece of metal”. Let’s not forget that the eventual 2020 champions Los Angeles Dodgers made headlines when Joe Kelly took a stand for America when he intentionally threw at the Astros players then mocked them.

That doesn’t mean that this isn’t a good hire for the Detroit Tigers. We’ll wait and see how this develops in the near future, but this could be a very positive move.
